Eduardo “Lalo” Rodriguez, born in Poza Rica, Veracruz, in November 1987, is a musician whose work celebrates freedom, connection, and exploration. From his classical guitar studies in Puebla with Cuban guitarist Manuel Espinas to his jazz training with Agustin Bernal in Mexico City, Lalo’s journey has been shaped by diverse influences, including Heitor Villa-Lobos, Leo Brower, and his mentorships with composer Alexander Liebermann and Master Drummer Michael Carvin. Now based in New York, Lalo has toured with his band, collaborated with artists from around the world, and drawn inspiration from nature, history, and personal experiences. As he says, “We have to keep searching, and to keep the expression of that search. That’s what music is for me.”
